Organ music inspires and had been inspirational for many people in many churches and in many countries. I play my organ at home often, and sometimes the videos are of our church services. I hope these videos may bring a smile to our face, happiness to your heart, and peace to your soul.

Psalm 42:3 John Propitius

Full explanation on Facebook. In the Book of Praise, after the tears of lamentation in Psalm 42, stanza 2, we see a turning point in stanza 3: “O my soul, why are you grieving, why disquieted in me? Put your hope in God, believing he will still your refuge be. I again shall see his face and extol him for his grace. He will show his help and favour, for he is my God and Saviour.” John Propitius ...

Posted on Facebook: These days, there are many people in our community impacted by sadness. In some cases, a dramatic loss; in other cases, shocking news. Uncertainty about the future and a feeling that time has stopped. And although we know God is in control, our souls are shaken, our thoughts confused, and our hearts burdened. In a similar reality, this composer wrote this piece. Without any ...
Daar Ruist Langs de Wolken
"Daar ruist langs de wolken" was written in 1858 for Christmas. It was not intended to be a song for outreach. The lyrics became well-known among the Dutch Christians in the 20th century, perhaps because it was included in Johannes De Heer. Dutch people know the lyrics. I ran them through a translator, to give an impression what it says (it is not perfect, I know.) I think about the name of Jes...

Psalm 38 (Genevan) Congregational Singing
My band teacher composed this song for band. And we the band play it and the choir sing it at the same time. It was freaking awesome!
Wonderful. Your opinion as the expert: Would it also sound nice if you slowly go back to piano at the end (from about min 5)?
Only one word, my dear friend, "fantastic" This was so well played!! Thank you!! Best regards, maarten
Very beautiful and moving.
♡♡
Glory to the Three in One! How appropriate for Trinity Sunday! ❤ Great playing and singing!
Sehr schön.
What metrical psalter or hymnal are you all using?

@@frankezinga Thank you for the information and the prompt response! I will order a copy this weekend. God bless!
Dank!
Prachtige begeleiding.
Mooie begeleiding!
My favorite
Brilliant performance! The arrangement by Klaas Jan Mulder is out of this world, and you played it superbly. Greetings from Cape Town
3 years later I am back listening to this beautiful hymn played so beautifully.- I hope this finds everyone well. ❤️🇬🇧🇮🇱
Bravissimo !!!
Beautiful😊😊❤❤❤😊
This is fantastic Frank! Bravo!!! 👌👏👏👏😍
Beautiful😮😊😊❤ Never herd before. Love it.
Thank you for such beautiful arrangement! Would love to hear you play Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) ❤
Hello Frank, great play on Psalm 42, thank you, .... John Propitius self played Psalm 121 and 87 are also awesome. 😊 Do you know the Dutch Noorlander / Sweelinq software with already 11 beautiful sample-sets, Bovenkerk Kampen, Grote Kerk Dordrecht, Grote Kerk Gorinchem, Grote Kerk Leeuwarden etc, Noorlander also makes beautiful organs and Hauptwerk consoles. They are now sampeling Oude Kerk Amsterdam, the beautiful restored Vater Müller organ (2015-2019 by Reil NL) and the Ahrend choir organ. They now have 11 organs and 3 in progress, when finished you can play 14 organs for €112/year ( ± CAN$ 165/y ), plus all new sample-sets of the near future. There are plenty of videos on UA-cam or on their own media platforms. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Does anybody know why I can't find this famous hymn "The Holy City" in any of my five hymnals?
Grazie. È stato un piacere suonare questa musica.
A gifted artist
A hauntingly beautiful melody!
One of my favourites! Thanks, Frank!
I have Jan Mulder CD.
Beautiful!
That's a great "Bewerking" of Psalm 62 and it sounds beautiful the way you play it with your organ! thanks for your inspiration!
Awesome playing Frank! Do you compose your own improvisations on this hymn, or is there some sheet music somewhere with all of the filler chords and pedal line (I already consulted the Book of Praise site)?
Sorry, its all made up in the moment...
Wow thanks for inspiring people with your music❤
Can anyone tell me if there is an edition of the Johannes de Heer hymnbook with the tunes included?
Yes, most editions have the music included. You can check Dutch booksellers, or Abebooks.
@@frankezinga Thank you - unfortunately the only editions I have found have the music in a strange format, running vertically down the page, which I think I would struggle to get used to! Perhaps that is what people are used to in the Netherlands... Like this: drive.google.com/file/d/1HTQbTU5gBX7hQzm8h7rsAwN24w2dV3_k/view?usp=sharing
@@peterwilkins81 I think this one is with regular notes, but you can double check with the seller: www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=31271681350&cm_sp=det-_-bsk-_-bdp The latest edition is here: www.bol.com/nl/nl/p/zangbundel-johannes-de-heer-editie-2004/1001004005317846/
Perfectly! Greetings from Poland ❤️
Truly amazing. Imagine figuring that out 500 years ago to hear music in a different way. Awesome
Machtig stuk Frank 👍
Awesome! Where can I find the sheet music?
You can either buy a book or print copies yourself. The scanned file is here: imslp.org/wiki/Suite_Kerstfeest_No.1_(Zwart%2C_Jan)
😍😍
wow !!! Mazmur 42.
If there are any records from Synod Leeuwarden 1920 available, that may help to confirm whether Jan Zwart wrote the tune. One of my Dutch songbooks credits that Synod for the origin of the melody.
That's correct, although the 1920 Acts don't mention the tunes, and the committee was sent back. The final selection was approved in Middelburg 1933. The composer is officially a mystery, but in an interview Dirk Janzn. seems to have credited his father.
BRAVO, and thank you!
Nice to hear the psalms we grew up with here in Canada. God bless and thank you
Ruined it with the talking!
THANK , you FRANK
Une merveille
